Twenty-six years after its debut, Kenan and Kel is returning to the big screen with the sequel to ‘Good Burger’ an American cult-classic teen comedy film directed by Brian Robbins. The original earned $23.7 million at the box office. What is the new one going to be about? Well, as you can probably guess from the storyline of the first one, the gentlemen would have to make sure the restaurant won’t close again.
“Dexter Reed is down on his luck after another one of his inventions fails. Ed welcomes Dex back to Good Burger with open arms and gives him his old job back,” the official synopsis reads. “With a new crew working at Good Burger, Dex devises a plan to get back on his feet but unfortunately puts the fate of Good Burger at risk once again.”
When it comes to the dream list of cameos, Harry Styles is high on that list. We do not have an official release date yet, but Kenan has hinted at Thanksgiving this year.
Observe the trailer below featuring the longtime friends who met on the set of Nickelodeon’s ‘All That’. As reported by Us Weekly, the duo’s “fame grew even more in 1997 when they co-starred in Good Burger. The comedy was based on one of their All That sketches in which they played fast-food workers trying to save the establishment from going under.”
