Last week, Diddy, one of the music industry’s most celebrated executives since the 1990s, released a new album under his new record label, Love Records. The LP includes featured vocals from modern singing stars like Coco Jones, Jacquees, Teyana Taylor, The-Dream, Jazmine Sullivan, Swae Lee, Summer Walker, Ty Dolla $ign, Kehlani, Jeremih, Justin Bieber, The Weeknd, K-Ci Hailey (of Jodeci), and our Queen of Hip-Hop Soul, Mary J Blige, who got her start with the MTV’s Global Icon Award honouree in 1992, HER, John Legend, and the incomparable multiple award-winning R&B superstar Babyface. The ‘I’ll Be Missing You’ artist includes Hip-Hop/Rap legends like French Montana, Fabolous and Busta Rhymes, Afro-Fusion champion Burna Boy, and newcomer/label signee Jozzy and Roc Nation’s Kalan.FrFr.
For me, the arrangement presents its best order from track number five, ‘Homecoming’, until its end. I could do without the ‘Nasty (Interlude)’ as I felt it interrupted my experience of the harmonious sequence of the tracklisting. Stream the twenty-three record album below. Then, let us know what’s on your mind.
