Cardi B was ecstatic to announce her new partnership with the kids’ TV network, Nickelodeon. Of course, somebody had something negative to say about the controversial rapper’s newest power move.
Cardi B took to social media to share the news about her fun new kids’ project with Nickelodeon. The rapper and her family – including her 4-year-old daughter Kulture – would be featured in a television special for the hit Nickelodeon children’s show, Baby Shark. Cardi shared the good news on social media with the caption saying,
“Make sure you guys and your babies check out Me & my family episode on the BABY SHARK series on Nickelodeon !!!!🦈💙♥️”
Though many people acknowledged and congratulated Cardi for her Nick show, she was also faced with some backlash due to her often racy and sexual rap music content.
One Twitter user said,
“Cardi B was on baby shark, which is a children’s show. Hmm, what business does a hyper sexualized rap artist have on a children’s TV show?”
Cardi B has made it clear that her music is for adults after being criticized in 2021 for her sexy rap song, WAP. She said she doesn’t let her own children listen to her music and it’s the parent’s responsibility to police their own children.
“Parents are responsible for what their children listen too or see. I’m a very sexual person but not around my child just like every other parent should be.”
Recently, Cardi B made her 3-year-old daughter Kulture’s Instagram account private after trolls flooded her page with hateful messages.
